Open Enrollment for the 2023-24 school year is now open!
Guardians of students who do not live within the Washington Local School District can now apply to attend the Washington Local School District. The number of seats available to students who do not live within the Washington Local School District is limited. There is an application process. Please use the form located below to submit your student's application in person.
No student shall be denied admission into Washington Local School District or to a particular course or instructional program or otherwise be discharged against for reasons of race, color, national origin, sex, handicap, or any other unlawful discrimination.
General Dates for Open Enrollment for the 2023-2024 School Year:
- Early Bird Applications accepted December 1 - March 1. Notifications will be mailed and/or emailed by the end of March.
- All other applications received after March 1 will continue to be accepted and reviewed by the committee starting in June. Notifications will be mailed and/or emailed throughout the summer.
- All applications are due by June 1.
Procedure
PAPER APPLICATIONS MUST BE DELIVERED TO THE ADDRESS BELOW. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTION (GRADES, ATTENDANCE, TWO PROOFS OF RESIDENCY, ETC.) MUST BE INCLUDED AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION.
NO EMAIL, FAX OR PHONE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Transportation
At this time, there is no space available on WLS buses. Therefore, transportation for an approved open enrolled student will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Open enrollment may be revoked at any point during the school year if attendance, tardies or not getting picked up from school on time becomes an issue.
