Welcome to Jefferson Junior High School!  It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year.

We are excited to welcome our new Jefferson Jaguars for their 7th-grade year.  It is our hope that this school year will prove to be a successful one that brings challenging learning experiences with new activities and relationships. Junior High is a crucial time in the learning process.  Our staff is eager to help our students through these experiences.  They work together with our families to provide a safe, welcoming, and positive environment that promotes success for all students. Each Jefferson Junior High student will receive high-quality instruction.  Beyond teaching academics, our goal is to empower all of our students to show respect for one another, play an active role in improving our world, and become lifelong learners.

We urge all of our students to make the most of the extra-curricular opportunities Washington Local has to offer.  Jefferson's clubs are Pep Club, Speech and Debate, Student Council, Youth 2 Youth, along with various athletic teams.

As said by Malcolm X, "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today."  It is our goal to partner with our families and our community to foster this belief in all of our students.  Each and every one of them has the opportunity to make a positive change in the world. I look forward to working with our students and families as we prepare for a great year!
