Jeff Fouke, Treasurer 
Jeff Fouke began employment with Washington Local Schools in November, 1999 as the District's Assistant Treasurer and became Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer in January 2000. Before joining the district, the certified public accountant served as Treasurer of Ottawa Hills School District, Chief Accountant for the Lucas County Auditor, Chief Financial Officer of Lott Industries/Assistant Finance Director Board of Developmental Disabilities of Lucas County, Assistant Treasurer of Sylvania Schools, and an Assistant Auditor with the Auditor of the State of Ohio. Mr. Fouke received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Toledo and is a graduate of Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio.

Mr. Fouke's many duties and responsibilities as Treasurer are outlined in the Ohio Revised Code and include the receipt, disbursement, and investment of all public funds, as well as federal and state grants. Mr. Fouke, with assistance from the Board and Administration, is responsible for the development of the district's annual budget and the Five-Year Forecast. The Five-Year Forecast is the financial plan of the district for not only the current year but future years as well. Washington Local continues to maintain an approach that allows the district's resources to be used in an effective manner to promote our students academic achievement and success as well as to maintain our facilities.

Mr. Fouke provides legal notices of all board meetings, attending regular and special meetings and preparing the minutes of those meetings. Mr. Fouke prepares Board resolutions and provides administrative assistance in the operation of all school activity accounts. Mr. Fouke also communicates to the Board and administration financial and management information, including the determination for tax levies and supervises the sale of bonds or issuance of notes, if needed.
  
Bookkeeping
The Treasurer's bookkeeping department is responsible for processing requisitions, purchase orders, invoices and for payment to be issued from the proper funds. Financial reports are also provided to administration in order to effectively manage their budgets and resources. Responsibilities also include managing and reporting of Worker's Compensation.
 
Payroll
The Treasurer's payroll department is responsible for the efficient operation of the payroll function to ensure proper personnel records and timely disbursement of the payroll. Responsibilities also include the maintenance of official records of employee absences, as well as working with the Human Resources Department in coordination of the district's employee fringe benefit programs.
