Career Technical Education (CTE) programs prepare students for a broad range of careers that require varying levels of education, from high school, apprenticeships and post-secondary certificates to college and university degrees. Many students receive industry certification or credentials prior to graduation. Essentially, students in our programs receive a head start in the career pathway of their choice!
At Whitmer High School, students have the opportunity to enroll in career technical programs. These programs are designed to give students knowledge and skills in a variety of career fields, and they prepare students for entry-level employment, transition to post-secondary education, or advanced training. Students participate in CTE programs during their Junior and Senior years, with a few additional opportunities in grades 9-12.
