Superintendent's Update - August 23, 2021

Good Morning Washington Local,

Today is the first time in 17 months that almost every single Washington Local student will be in our schools. We are so happy to welcome our students back to in-person learning.

As a reminder, all students and staff at Washington Local will be wearing masks inside for the safety of our Washington Local community. Bus riders must wear masks any time they are on school transportation.

In spite of heavy recruiting, we continue to have a shortage of bus drivers. Please be patient in these first few days as we adjust routes as we learn which students will be riding this year.

Especially in the first few days of school, many families may choose to bring students to school. Please keep your eyes open for our kids and move slowly and patiently through the drop-off and pick-up lines.

More than anything, we are so happy to welcome everyone to this school year. We promise that Every Student Matters and we will make Every Moment Count!

Every Student Matters; Every Moment Counts!
