Superintendent's Update - August 30, 2021

Good Morning Washington Local,

It was so good to have all of our students walking through the hallways again. We made it through the first week jitters and are excited about our second full week of school.

Our football game against Springfield has been moved to Saturday, September 4 at 1:00 PM. Please remember there are no cash ticket sales. Tickets can be purchased starting Friday morning at https://www.wls4kids.org/Athletics

We will continue to post a weekly record of the number of students and staff who are quarantined or positive. The weekly COVID Report will be posted by noon each Monday and can be found on our website by clicking "COVID Information."

We are excited to bring back hot lunches each day this year. However, due to food and supply shortages, our menus could be subject to change. Suppliers are having a difficult time providing certain items, but our amazing nutrition workers will always ensure there are delicious choices each day.

We are grateful for your patience as we continue to tackle the hurdles this pandemic continues to present. Our transportation workers are doing incredible work in spite of construction challenges and driver shortages. You may experience late buses, but we will provide safe, friendly, and professional service each and every day. The responsibility our drivers and monitors have is enormous and we are so grateful for their dedication.

Thank you for sending us your very best each day!
