Here are some recent additions for our Google "How To" information.

Google Workspace for Education is made up of several tools. Google Drive is an online storage area for documents. Google Docs is an online productivity tool that includes word processing, spreadsheets and presentations. Google Class is a pre-built set of classroom tools for sharing documents within a class and for students to submit finished work to the teacher. Google Mail is an e-mail system for student use once the student's parent has given permission.

Google has put together a large collection of documents and videos for learning how to use G Suite for Education.

If you do any online banking you probably have already used this. 2FA / MFA is when you log into a web site and they text, email, or call you with an access code. Only after you enter the access code are you allowed into the web site. Washington Local Schools recommends that you set this up for your WLS Google Account. Please note it is a very good idea to add multiple backup methods for 2FA. For example, you can have multiple telephone numbers for text / voice as well as specific cell phone apps and actual physical security keys.

Google Workspace for Education uses your WLS Password. You can reset that password on the Staff Portal. If you use the Staff Portal to update your password it will automatically keep AD (start a WLS Windows Computer,) G Suite, PowerSchool, Clever, and many other tools synced to the same password. Please note that it will take up to 5 minutes for any password changes to be made in G Suite.
