Course Information

Research proves that there is correlation between learning a second language and ACT/SAT scores, the ability to hypothesize in science, improved memory, and even spatial ability. To spare you from lots of research and data, suffice it to say that you will benefit academically and socially from learning a second language. At Whitmer High School, students walk out of the World Languages classrooms able to understand and speaking French, German, and Spanish. Each curriculum embraces a broad spectrum of skills with emphasis on communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities.

See pages 85-87 of the curriculum guide for more information.
